Typically on Wednesday nights, our small group meets at church while our kids have a lesson correlating to our study since we're doing a church-wide study. Tonight a family from church hosted our group because their property was the perfect setting to help bring the kids' story to life.
First we enjoyed a yummy picnic dinner with the families.
I think Emmy ate the entire time we were there.
The kids enjoyed playing some baseball after dinner.
The adults enjoyed some fellowship while the kids played.
The scenery was just amazing. This fire pit was SO nice. It kept us nice and warm since the spring weather hasn't quite made its way here to stay.

The new barn in the back was like a mansion in pristine condition.
The kids learned about Ruth and Naomi gathering food so we headed out to the field to gather barley. Nothing like an object lesson to bring it home! I just love our small group. Between us we have 8 kids who I hope will grow up to be the best of friends. I really love doing life with this group of people. And as an added bonus, Jason's parents are their teachers on Wednesday nights!
