hunting eggs at school

Emmy had a little Easter Egg hunt at school today.  There was no organized party, just the hunt.  Bryce's class didn't have a party so I guess they'll do something at the end of the year.

Love this girl of mine!

She always has a smile on her face!

I just love these sweet friends of hers!

emmy's kindergarten program

The kindergarten presented "Time for a Rhyme" tonight.

I went to the morning show and couldn't see Emmy at all so her teacher put her on the end for the evening show so the family could see her!

Being on the end put her in the right place to be able to turn a page of the story book prop!

1, 2, Tie My Shoe

MeMa and PaPa took us to Sweet Frog afterward to celebrate!

church easter egg hunt

The church Easter Egg Hunt was this weekend and it did not disappoint!  There were over 5,000 eggs and the kids found a large portion of them and Jason and I are doing our best at eating ALL the candy!

Cute little egg hunters finally got to hunt in the same area this year!

These two had more fun looking cute than hunting eggs!

Bryce won the jar of jelly beans for guessing the closest!

Bryce had to leave early for baseball but Emmy stuck around for the crafts and photo ops!

And how cute is Emmy's shirt a friend of mine from church made!?

spring snow

What better way to usher in the first day of spring than with snow!  The kids had hoped there would be enough snow to play in and miss school and there was!  Jason went out last night and cut a patch of grass on the sledding hill to ensure faster speeds than last time!

These pictures look very similar to my last post.  Same thing, different day!

We didn't build a snowman last time so we made sure we did this time!

Bryce has gotten much better at his snowboarding since the last snow.

Emmy wasn't going to be left out!

Now this better be the last snow!

snow in march

I'm hoping we're done with the snow, but it was nice to get one last hoorah so Bryce could test out his new snowboards he got for his birthday.

Bryce's friend had a snowboard sled the last time it snowed and he was dead set on getting one for his birthday.

For his first time and very little snow, he did great!

Bring on the snow.....next year!!

birthdays and baseball

We had a weekend full of birthday parties and baseball games.

Emmy went to a princess tea party for a friend from class who lives in the neighborhood.

The girls had a fun time watching princess movies, crafting and drinking tea!

After the tea party, it was time for a paining party for a friend from church.

Both kids really enjoyed this!

Bryce had baseball Saturday morning before the parties and Sunday after church.

His team lost one and won one on Saturday, but that was enough to get them the top seed in Sunday's games.  They won their first game, lost the second game, but managed second place in their bracket.

It's been fun watching him play and improve each game!

Dr. Seuss Week

Our school did a week of spirit days to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday.  One of the days was twin day and Emmy and her friend Stevie dressed up as Thing 1 and Thing 2.  Stevie's mom has a lot more time and creativity than I do.  Didn't she do a great job with their outfits?!  I found the red shirts on clearance at Old Navy!  That counts as helping, right?!?

Emmy went into kindergarten knowing three friends in her class from preschool and the neighborhood, but Stevie is a new friend she made this year and they are just so sweet!

The girls got a picture with a first grade teacher and her assistant.

I love Emmy's invented spelling of Dr. Seuss!

One of the spirit days was "Oh, The Places You'll Go" and they were to wear college gear/colors!

I failed to document the other spirit days, but there were some crazy socks and maybe some pajamas?!?
