a busy but fun week

Emmy and one of her friends started off the week twinning!  Aren't they cute!

Bryce had a little league game on Monday night so Nana joined us for a car dinner and the game.

I enjoyed a little happy hour on Tuesday before tackling math homework and baseball practice with Bryce.

Jason had been out of town since last Friday so we were so glad when he got home Wednesday just in time for dinner and Bryce's last little league game of the season.

I may have celebrated Jason being home after holding down the fort for 6 days!

I went to a gender reveal party for my good friend on Thursday night.  The pumpkin theme was so cute.

Jason and I were both off on Friday so we enjoyed a day date.  Our first stop was to vote!

We went for a little pampering next.

We ended with lunch on the patio.

I went for a walk on Friday evening and I just loved the sun setting on the fall leaves.  I also loved that it was 75 degrees!

Our Halloween/fall decor.

I picked Emmy up from the gym and then we headed to Bryce's travel ball game.

We had a lot of fun on Saturday but apparently I didn't take any pictures.

Today it turned cold and it was rainy.  It was a perfect day for a drive to IKEA followed by chili in the crockpot!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

fall fun

Jason's cousin got a boston terrier puppy recently so we made a visit on Monday while he's still tiny!  He was the cutest little thing, but boy were those puppy teeth sharp.

I had to snap a picture of us twining on Tuesday in our colored corduroys and striped shirts.

This year the fall weather has been my jam.  It's a bit chilly in the mornings but still getting into the mid 70's during the day.  We had a night off of all sports on Wednesday so we enjoyed some fall family time outside.

Homework and smores by the fire.

She comes down dressed like me so often these days and I love it.

I've been walking in the evenings while it's still warm and enjoying a little happy hour too.

I'm off on Fridays so I can do school drop off with Bryce.

And I got to meet friends for breakfast on Friday!

Bryce is in a Friday night baseball league and he plays on Sundays so it makes it hard for him to participate in cousin sleepovers.  He was off this Friday so I promised him a sleepover with Chase.  I took them to Kroger after school and told them they could pick all the snacks for the night/morning.

I may have thrown in a couple of snacks for me too!

I clearly had a relaxing rainy Friday because I had zero active minutes when I got in bed.  Oops!

It was so nice to see the sun on Saturday morning after a day of rain.  And the tree out our bedroom window looked so pretty.

Emmy spent the night with Taylor on Friday night so we all met up Saturday morning to go to the pumpkin patch.  It was a perfect fall day for it.

Bryce went to an outdoor church concert with a friend on Saturday night.  Emmy was actually there too with the Caddells.  I had a night at home!

This morning we were up and at em in the freezing cold for an 8:30 baseball game.  Bryce's team went 1-1 and we were done by lunch time.

Now we're trying to get in some relaxation before we start another busy school and sports week!

same old, same old

Our weeks are predictable.  Work/school, sports, homework, repeat.

Bryce had a little league game on Monday night.  He enjoys playing different positions that he normally doesn't play in travel.

Emmy was festive on Tuesday.

I accidently wore my slippers to school on Tuesday.  Oops!  Bryce had baseball practice and Emmy had gymnastics on Tuesday night so I stayed home and cleaned.  We were back at the field for a little league game on Wednesday night.

Bryce has been gotten burnt out on the new lengthy school day, followed by lots of homework and sports every night so we took Thursday night off.  We went out for a special snack after school and spent a gift card at Barnes and Noble.  It was a nice night off.

Emmy drove herself to school on Friday!

Jason and I were both off on Friday so we went out to lunch while the kids were in school.  They both had sports in the evening, but we enjoyed an entire day off of all the things yesterday!  Today we went to church and lunch and now we're have a rainy lazy afternoon ahead!

hello, october

Emmy had pajama day on October 1 so she broke out her pumpkins on October 2.

Bryce was excited for Hokie football this weekend.

The kids are staying busy these days.  Bryce has baseball just about everyday right now and Emmy has gymnastics 3 days a week.  Friday night Jason and Bryce went to baseball and I did gym duty with Emmy.  She and I were home before the boys and couldn't wait to start our weekend.

I love this outdoor oasis.

It was a great Friday night!

Jason's sister turned 40 this year which called for a big celebration.  And a big fire!

We spent all day Saturday cleaning, working in the yard and catching up on all the things that pile up now that life has resumed to normal working hours and we're never home.  It was nice to get out in the evening and relax.

These boys sure do miss each other during the week.

Our friends asked Jason to be their daughter's godfather!  We attended her baptism this morning.

Bryce had an early morning of baseball so PaPa took him and we joined later after church.

The boys won one and lost one today.

Nana's neighborhood had a Halloween golf cart parade this afternoon.  Emmy had fun helping Nana decorate it this week.

The weekends go by too quickly, but this one was a good one.  Back to the grind tomorrow!
