teeth and meets

 Emmy lost another tooth this week.  She has one more that's loose.  We'll see if it comes out this next week. 

Emmy and I had an ice cream date Friday after school.

Emmy had a meet in Chesapeake on Saturday so MeMa and I took her.  

The judging was tough.  She had a good meet but I don't feel like the scores represented her efforts. 

The vault is one of her stronger events.  She was excited to tie for third place on this event.

We went to Kings Dominion after church today and it was cold, but not too crowded!  We wanted to ride the new Tumbili ride.  I like roller coasters, but this one was a little too much for me!

Boardwalk fries and Rita's are a must!

We enjoyed a worship night at church tonight to wrap up the weekend!

We have one more week until spring break!

weekly recap

We got a little snow last Saturday!  It was pretty, but I just want warmer weather at this point in the year.

We had a fun green St. Patrick's Day celebration.

Bryce did wear some green but he wasn't dressed for pictures as early as these two were. 

Emmy loves to craft.

Emmy lost a tooth on Saturday night.  It's been a while since anyone has lost a tooth around here.  She says two more are loose.

Bryce's team played in their first tournament of the season on Sunday.  They won one and lost one.  Byrce had a great hit over the right fielders head for a double.

Emmy's gymnastics season is winding down just in time for Bryce's baseball season to pick up.  They keep us busy but is sure is fun watching them do what they love. 

boys weekend

Two years ago the boys were supposed to go to Florida for spring training but the world shut down the weekend they were to go.  Fast forward two years to the do over trip and MLB is in a lockout so there was no spring training again. 

They made the best of a sunny and warm weekend in Florida though.  They saw some minor league and college baseball to make up for it.

There is always go karting and putt putt at the beach!

They had a lot more beach time than they had originally anticipated so they were able to go parasailing.

Thankfully they only saw a dolphin and no sharks!

Now I'm plotting a trip to get all 4 of us to Florida for some fun and sun! 

girls weekend

The boys were in Florida this weekend, so we made the best of our girls' weekend at home.  Emmy picked all of the activities for the weekend.  

  

Friday after school we went bathing suit shopping at Old Navy and then went to the store to buy ingredients for Emmy to make dinner.  She made rainbow grilled cheese and caesar salad and then we popped popcorn and watch Encanto.

After gymnastics on Saturday we went to McDonald's for lunch and then spent the afternoon at the Children's Museum.

This morning we headed to Virginia Beach for a meet.

This was Emmy's best meet of the season!  She met her personal goal of scoring a 9.0 or higher on all events in a meet (first time for beam).  She also got her highest vault and beam scores of the season!  

After her meet we made our way to the BEACH!!  It was 80 degrees and beautiful.  We put our toes in the sand and then had dinner on the pier.  I really needed that this weekend!  I get cranky after too much winter and cold and this was good for the soul.
