Update

I went to the doctor again today. My blood pressure was back to normal (110/78), just where I like it! The doctor wasn't even going to do an exam today, but I asked him to. I told him I wanted to know something. My cervix is still closed, but starting to thin a bit. People keep asking me if the doctor has said how big he thinks the baby is. I asked him today and he felt around and said, "about 6 pounds". Yikes, that makes me think he might be kind of big since he has 4 more weeks to grow!! He said I have nothing to worry about as long as a get a good epidural, hehe. I'm going back next Thursday so stay tuned for more.

36 weeks.......almost

Here I am at 36 weeks (one day early). I decided to go ahead and take a picture today because I put a new outfit together and I thought I would try to add a little variety to my blog wardrobe, hehe. Only 4 weeks to go. Kelly told me last night that I need to make it 3 more weeks because they are going out of town for Presidents Day. If they aren't here, we will just consider it payback since Jason wasn't here when Chase was born. We really hope they are here!!

WOW

We welcomed a new addition to the house tonight. Not a baby yet, but a 46 inch tv!! WOW is just about all I can say. I'm still a bit worried that it could rip off the wall at any second, but I'll get over that. Jason assures me I could hang from the tv mount and it wouldn't go anywhere, but I'm just a little skeptical. We got the tv just in time for the super bowl that we won't even be home to watch, haha. That's ok............it will see many more sporting events and a little TLC and HGTV mixed in, haha!

35 weeks

I'm still gaining weight, believe it or not?!? I had to go back and look at old pictures last night to make myself feel better about the round shape that not only my belly has taken on, but my face too!! They took my blood pressure twice today because the first reading was a little high. I still wasn't too pleased with the second reading (128/82), but I guess that's because I'm used to 117/72!! The doctor wasn't worried, so I guess I shouldn't be. The doctor said the baby's head is down and that he is not ready to come out yet. Thank goodness! I can't wait to see him, but I'm not quite ready yet.

Macy is going to be very upset when she has to share her glider with me and the baby. She loves to hop up in the chair when Jason and I are in the nursery. SO cute..........

Baby Showers

Friends don't let friends wear silly hats!!
Beth and Kathryn had a baby shower for me on Saturday. It was a ton of fun and I got to wear this awesome hat, ugh!! It only lasted for about 2 gifts, hehe! We had sliders and crab dip and they had an awesome candy bar set up with every blue candy imaginable. One of the highlights was watching everyone play, "my water broke". They had to suck on an ice cube that had a baby frozen inside. Whoever got to the baby first, WON! We got tons of great gifts and now when people ask, "Are you ready?", I think I can actually answer, YES!! We have much more than a crib and clothes now. Thanks to everyone who came and gave such generous gifts.
I didn't really have many pictures to choose from, but I liked this one because I didn't have food in my mouth (which I always seem to), and I didn't resemble a whale as much as I do in other pictures! Can you believe we only have 7 weeks to go?!?

Kelly and Jamie had a shower for me at church on Sunday. I decided to put this picture up for Jason. Jenee knew just how to include Jason in the baby shower fun, camo wrapping paper. Again, we had great food and we got great gifts! Thanks to everyone for coming.

Whoa, that's a BIG belly!!

8 more weeks!

I went to the doctor today and he didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. I'm gaining weight and my belly is growing, duh! Maybe he will know more when I go back in 2 weeks. I have 2 baby showers next weekend! We're very excited to get some things to make us feel more prepared to bring a baby into the house. The nursery is very cute, but other than a crib, we don't really have anything else to take care of a baby.
