happy birthday, nana

We headed to the pool this morning to spend the day with my mom for her birthday.  Bryce couldn't wait to try out his new Lightning McQueen float he bought with a gift card from his birthday.

Nana enjoyed her one on one time with the grand kids.  No better birthday present than that!

Can't pass up a photo-op with my boys!

Hope everyone has had a great Memorial Day.  I know I sure have enjoyed having an extra day this weekend!

perfect day

Jason went on a fishing trip last weekend so it was just me and the kids.  They were great and we had fun, but it's just not the same when Jason isn't with us.  We made up for it today though.  We started the morning off early and went strawberry picking at a local farm.  This is something I look forward to every year!

Bryce was able to pick his own strawberries this year.  He put some in the bucket and some in his mouth, ha!  There's nothing better than a ripe strawberry off the vine.

I was trying to get Jason to take a fun picture of us and our strawberries, but Bryce couldn't figure out how to stand.

We pulled out Bryce's pool when we got home.  This is our third summer with this pool and he's starting to look so big on it!

He probably played in the pool for two hours this morning.

We headed out to a baseball game with MeMa and PaPa tonight.  MeMa was in heaven.  She loves holding a sleeping baby.  Emmy loved it too!

Bryce enjoyed sharing some chocolate ice cream with PaPa.

I just love days like this.  Nothing makes me happier than time with my sweet family!

bath time

I decided to bathe both kids at the same time the other night to make my life easier.  Bryce loved it and it worked out well.  He was very excited when I asked him if he wanted to take a bath with Emmy again tonight.  Emmy seems to enjoy it too!

sweet emmy girl

This little girl has been the perfect addition to our family.

She develops more of a personality each day and she is a complete joy to be around!

She makes our family complete!

soccer

Our little soccer player!

Today was the last day of soccer for the season.  I don't think Bryce is going to be a future soccer player.  He enjoyed running up and down the field after the ball with the other players, but he had no intention of actually ever touching the ball.  The coaches would even set up the ball so he would be sure to have a shot at it and he still shied away.  He might get his sport skills/noncompetitiveness (is that a word) from me!

If you know Bryce, he is always falling down and getting hurt in the process.  At Chase's birthday party on Friday, he managed to get a black eye, a scratch on his nose, and he hurt his thumb.  Soccer today was no different.  I never saw anything happen, but he came crying to me that he hurt his heel.  Coach B tried to make it better, but I think he was too tired (the game was in the middle of nap time).

Here he is practicing passing the ball with Chase.  This was about the only time he ever touched the ball!

Action shot!  Looks like he knows what he's doing!

Team huddle at the end of the game.

The team holds hands at the end of the game and they bow, clap, and wave.

Kelly ordered the team picture.  Their faces are just priceless.  I guess Bryce was sporting his "tough boy" face that day.

He managed to pull out a smile for his individual picture.  You can see he had a black eye that day too!

happy birthday, kaleb

Bryce's friend Kaleb turned 5 today!  He had his party at a local fire station!

Bryce was pretty slow to warm up to the idea of being in a fire station with real fire trucks, but he eased into it and stood by the truck wheel to see how big it was!

Bryce was really just concerned about opening presents and was a bit scared of sitting in the truck.  I finally convinced him that Kaleb would go open his presents after he sat in the fire truck.  My trick worked and he loved it (and presents did follow quickly)!

Bryce and Chase at the party.  We missed the first part because we had a soccer game today.  When we got there, there were about three other boys in their green soccer uniforms too!

happy birthday, chase

Chase turned 4 last Saturday!  He had his party at a local inflatable place tonight!

Bryce and Chase sliding down one of the many slides!

Jason enjoyed the slides as much as Bryce!

Presents!

wedding weekend

Jason's cousin got married this weekend and Bryce, Chase and Taylor were in the wedding.  Here they are before the rehearsal on Friday.

Taylor was the wild card and wasn't too keen on the idea of walking down the aisle and standing with the boys.

The boys did great.  Bryce is normally scared of "big church" but he will do anything if Chase does.

Here they are on wedding day.

The boys are ready, but where is Taylor?

Bryce and his Da da.  Jason was an usher.

Taylor got over her anxiety and made the walk down the aisle.  She looks like she is leading the way too.  Kelly gave her one of the flowers from her bouquet and that did the trick!

Vanessa and her dad (Jason's uncle).

No wedding is complete without a little dancing.

Congratulations Vanessa.  We had fun being a part of and celebrating your special day!

mother's day

When Bryce woke up this morning he came into our room with a card he and Jason had made for me and he told me Happy Mother's Day.  He and Jason had rehearsed this the night before, but Jason was surprised he remembered to do it!

I sure am lucky to be their Mama!
