pittsburgh

We took a quick trip to Pittsburgh this weekend.

Our first stop was the Dude Perfect Tour.

The kids love this show and watch each new episode every week and often watch them on repeat.

They did a great job incorporating segments from their you tube show.

We had plenty of time for sightseeing and the city of Pittsburgh was definitely worth seeing!

Bryce with Heinz field in the background.

We rode the Duquesne Incline to view the city from Mount Washington.

Sporting our black and yellow for the Pirates game later.

Such a pretty city!

If you look closely you can see Heinz Field and PNC Park.

We had a little time in the afternoon before the baseball game so we went to the Carnegie Science center and Sportsworks.

The You Yo was the kids favorite and lucky for them they have enough arm strength to make it work.

Our second planned stop was a Pirates game.  This is stadium number 14 on our baseball bucket list.

We had great front row seats in the outfield, but unfortunately none of the players tossed us any balls at this game.

myrtle beach

We headed to Myrtle Beach last Friday for a baseball tournament.

We had beautiful views from our 20th floor hotel room.  It was a little high for me, but I managed.

The forecast did not look good for our time at the beach so Emmy and I skipped games on Sunday and had a beach day because it was the only guaranteed good weather day.

Our team has had an adjustment this season as we've moved to the big field.  We haven't quite picked up our game and unfortunately this tournament wasn't our best as we went 1-4, but we still enjoyed our vacation.

Putt Putt at the beach is a must.

Emmy got a hole in one.  She actually got two in the game!

The team went and rode go karts on the last night.  The little siblings have really bonded this year and manage to have a good time on baseball trips too!

I quickly learned that boys on a go kart track mean trouble.  They are a competitive bunch and take their driving seriously.

We had a fun few days with great families!

just some things

Jason FINALLY cut his mullet and shaved his mustache!!  I couldn't be more excited to have my husband back, ha!  Bryce had wrestling camp on Wednesday so the three of us went out for dinner and tried out a new ice cream place.

Emmy's gymnastics team had a summer party on Friday.  They had ice cream and an inflatable water slide!

We went to Krispy Kreme for donuts on Saturday morning.  The Hot Now sign was on!

An Oreo donut is definitely the breakfast of champions!

Saturday was rainy so we played some board games.

We had to go to our favorite ice cream place today to try out the JAWSOME ice cream for shark week.  Red velvet ice cream with brownie pieces and a gummy shark!

Happy Sunday!

4th of July week

It doesn't get more American than a hot dog!  The Oscar Mayer mobile was at our local Kroger this week so we stopped by for the fun!

Emmy's level 4 season ended, and she had her first level 6 practice on Friday.  Her gym is getting rid of level 5 this year so that's why she's jumping up an additional level.  She gets to pick her music and have a routine choregraphed just for her this year!

Emmy and I tagged along on the boys' bowfishing trip the other night.

Bryce got a few in the boat and was stoked!

All of our high school friends are turning 40 this year.  We went to a surprise party for our friend Jonathan on Saturday.  Unfortunately, quite a few of the guys were out of town.

It was still great to get together and see Jonathan and his wife who don't live locally.

A few of the families from Bryce's baseball team went to a single A game (Tri City Chili Peppers) on Saturday.

Ice cream in a helmet is a must at a baseball game.  Bryce was there, but he sat with his friends, and I wasn't going to ask for a picture, ha!

Bryce went to Kings Dominion with friends today, so Emmy hung out with Chase and Taylor.  They went to Ashland for their 4th of July parade.

I crack up every time I look at this picture.  I can't get over how tiny Emmy is.

I made a fun festive mix for our 4th of July get together.

We headed to the Shipley's for our annual get together.  This is the only picture I took other than the fireworks.  Oops!

Jason put on a great show.  He's ready to stock up for next year when we go to Myrtle Beach next week!
