st. patrick's day

I saw on Facebook earlier in the week that Krispy Kreme was going to have green donuts for St. Patrick's Day and I knew I had to have them for my ladies bible study.  I had to be a ton of places on Friday and there was no way I was going to be able to pick up the donuts in time, so Jason made an early morning donut run so the kids could have a treat before school too!

I was pretty proud of my festive food spread for bible study!

I'm so lucky to be their mama!

Blessed really!!

snow day

We had an unseasonably warm February and here we are in March and the kids missed school today because of ice.  Come on Spring!!

Bryce's whole school is reading the book, The Lemonade War, and they have daily trivia questions to go along with it.  I thought it would be fun to make our reading festive today so we enjoyed lemonade while we read!

Today also happened to be pi day, March 14 (3.14).  Since the kids were home, I thought it would be fun to make my first ever chocolate chess pie.  With Jason's family being in the bakery business, we don't usually make many pies,  but I must say that ours ended up being pretty tasty!

Since Jason is a fan of pi and pie, we had him pose for a special picture for the special day!

And yes, his softball number is the symbol pi.  That's what you get when you marry an engineer/math nerd!

fun run

Bryce's school had a fun run fundraiser last week and it was super fun!  It was a quick and easy fundraiser and the school made a ton of money!

Donors could pledge money per lap (max of 35 laps) or a set donation.

Bryce ran all 35 laps, plus a few more!

It was a fun morning watching him and his classmates/friends.

the kids and the dog

Emmy girl is such a ray of sunshine!

We went to the library one day last week and had the place to ourselves!

Kindergarten is going to to wear her out next year!

The kids take turns holding Bentley on card rides.

I'm not sure who is more excited to see the other everyday after school.

Best buds!

We sure are loving this new addition!
