catching up

We have had a LOT of rain recently, but thankfully Bryce can easily entertain himself.  This was one of his rainy day activities!

We had Sweet Frog for dinner last Sunday night!

We have been enjoying a weekly story time at our local Chick Fil A.  Last week's theme was dinosaurs.

Bryce had his first grade play on Tuesday.  I went to the daytime performance and couldn't even see him from where I was sitting.  Who puts the shortest kid in the back?!

I was able to get a few shots of him!

Bryce didn't have a speaking part in the play, but one of his classmates was absent for the night performance so he got to dance in their place.  I didn't realize this was the case until it had already started, but I was able to get a little video of Bryce's performance!

Emmy had her end of preschool party on Thursday and the bubble machine was a big hit!

Ice cream sandwiches to cool off on the hot day!

We had date night on Friday night.  After going out to dinner, we stopped at Krispy Kreme and Brusters!!  Sugar overload for sure!

Warmer temps have finally arrived and I love it!

Still celebrating warm weather!

I've had a lot of time to sit and read this week and it has been wonderful.

Bryce lost his second tooth tonight!  Jason pulled the first one and Bryce got this one all on his own; with the help of his remote control truck!

Hope everyone is enjoying this long holiday weekend!

emmy's last day of school

It's the last day of school for my sweet girl.  I don't know where this year went, but it's already over.

She had a wonderful teacher and learned a lot.

Why do they have to grow up so fast?

I'm so proud of her!

Now I have her all to myself all summer!!

this and that

A little Mother's Day picture!  I made a point to get a picture with the kiddos since I'm usually the one behind the camera.

There are far more entertaining things in Jason's truck than in my car!

We joined some MOPs friends one day to deliver goodies to our local fire station to thank them for their service to our community.  We even got a little tour while we were there!

"Mama, I'm a rock star."  The dance that came along with it was priceless.

Chase celebrated his birthday party with the Richmond Flying Squirrels this year.  One of the kids was stoked about getting their picture taken.

One of them kept as far away as possible!

Happy 8th birthday Chase!

Jason and I had a few hours of free time on Saturday so he drove me and a friend to a local winery for an afternoon of wine tasting and adult socializing.  It has been such a cold and wet spring and Saturday was beautiful in every way so it was nice to get out and enjoy the day!

When we got home, we met up with another friend, left the dads and kids at home and went out to dinner!

We went to a roller skating birthday party on Sunday afternoon for this little cutie!  Ainsleigh was in Bryce's kindergarten class last year and they had such a sweet friendship.  We were sad to see her move over the summer, but this little reunion was so fun.

And for the record, Bryce does not have a future in roller skating.  Poor buddy was a good sport, but it was not for him.  On another note, Emmy enjoyed it and is ready to go back!

busch gardens

We had some free time in the calendar on Saturday so we hopped in the car that afternoon and rode down to Williamsburg for an afternoon/evening of fun.  The traffic/park was much better this time of day and we drove right in.  We didn't see everything on our last visit, so we made sure to hit all the rides we missed last time!

The kids has fun in Sesame Street area.  There were very age appropriate rides for them and the lines weren't too bad!  We rode the Grover roller coaster (the first one they've been on) and they loved it.  You couldn't wipe the grin off Emmy's face when we were done!

After Sesame Street, we headed to Italy.

A little blurry, but still cute!

After some funnel cake, we headed back to Sesame Street for more Grover fun!

I foresee many more fun trips over the summer!
