Emmy at 23 months

Does it get any cuter than this?

At 23 months this girl is full of life and lots of words.  I was a bit concerned at first when Emmy was so slow to talk since Bryce was so quick (even though I know all kids are different), but WOW has she taken off.  Some of my favorite things she says.
- whoopsie daisy
- oh man
- excuse you (she says it to others and herself)
- roni cheese (macaroni and cheese is her favorite food)
- yes ma'am

I kick myself for never writing these things down, because obviously there are more than four cute things she says.

She is very aware of what's going on around her and puts so many things together that I had no idea she would even understand.  However, when it comes to everyday things like colors, shapes, numbers and the alphabet, she still has no interest in learning them.

She loves to sing and dance and always wants to listen to "Jesus music".  We were working on a project the other day at church and when we went into the sanctuary, she ran down the aisle yelling "Jesus".  I'm so glad she already has a heart for God.

If you ask Emmy when her birthday is, she says "feby", but if I ask her to say February, she says it so well.  She never did grasp that she was one, and could never show you how old she was.  Now she'll tell you she's turning 3 and then hold up her pointer finger on both hands and say "1".  She clearly has no idea, but it's fun to ask!

This last month has been my most favorite month by far.  I love her smile, her laugh, and her tender heart.  I can't believe she'll be 2 in one short month, but I can't wait to see what the future holds for her!

Emmy you are always such a cutie! And, so much like my Thomas. Oh Grace, the wasted hours I spent worrying over how far "behind" Thomas was since his sister was light years ahead in everything at the same stage. (and honestly, if I don't stop myself, I still find my brain going there, especially when our boys play and I see how well Bryce can speak and understand and academically do things better--but I am working...and praying on it!)

I love her outfit--she is always so stylish. But, we gotta work on opening those eyes for pic Emmy-girl! :)
