Happy Friday!  I'm looking forward to this long holiday weekend with the family.

Our local baseball team, The Richmond Flying Squirrels, has its last few games of the season this weekend and we're going to a couple.  We're planning on going tonight for the giveaway for kids and then maybe again on Sunday for kid activities (free lunch and throwing on the field).  We love Nutzy (from a distance).

Football season is here and I can't wait to watch the Hokies play this season.  A walk-on freshman from our county is going to be starting as a full back.  Pretty cool.  We have plans to watch Saturday night's game at Jason's sister's house since we don't have cable and the game will be on ESPN.  I'm hoping for a good game, but unfortunately they are playing the #1 team, Alabama.

I've been seeing all kinds of pumpkin décor and food on pinterest and it's getting me excited for cooler temperatures and all things fall.  I saw these cookies on facebook recently and then stumbled upon them at Walmart.  DELICIOUS!

I'm not excited that school is starting, because I will miss Bryce, but I am excited for him to be back at school with his friends.  We went to his open house on Wednesday and he was glad to see the other boys from his class last year.  They are in the same class this year too!

A college/blogger friend of mine contacted me last year about joining MOPS this school year and I jumped at the opportunity.  I struggled finding a new normal last year when I started staying home and I was too late in the game to get involved in social outlets for moms.  Luckily I met moms from Bryce's preschool and formed friendships that have really helped me adjust.  I'm looking forward to finding out what MOPS is all about.

Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend, y'all.

Who is Bryce's teacher? Steven's aunt is sending her son there for PreK this year, and I told her I would see if he would be in a class with Bryce or Aiden.
