3 months

Emmy is 3 months old today!

What are you up to this month?
  • You have slept through the night for the past 2 weeks!  Bryce didn't do this until much later.  I'm hoping you keep this up once I go back to work, which happens to be tomorrow (SO sad).

  • You still like being swaddled in your bed.  I wonder if this helps you sleep more soundly?

  • You are trying so hard to roll over onto your belly.  You only roll to your left side, but you can't quite get your left arm to cooperate.

  • You weigh 11 pounds and some change.  No doctor visit this month so we don't know exacts measurements.

  • You are wearing size 1-2 diapers, but we're going to switch to size 2 when those are gone.

  • You are growing and getting bigger, but you still seem little and petite to me.  You are still wearing 0-3 month clothes, but I'm going to get out the 3-6 month clothes because we have more choices for the warmer weather.

  • You are always sucking or chewing on your hands.  Bryce was the same way at this age.

  • We thought you might have blue eyes, but I'm not so sure.

  • I haven't really tried to get you into a routine since you'll be spending your days with 3 toddlers on the go.  However, you have fallen into a pattern.  Once you get up, you eat every three hours.  You get up between 6-7 every morning.  You eat and then you are awake for an hour or so and then nap until your next feeding.  You usually get pretty upset when you are tired.  You take a paci and let me rock you to sleep, but you are also getting better at falling asleep on your own in your crib for a nap.  You follow that pattern pretty much all day (eat, play, nap).  I usually squeeze in an extra feeding in the evening and then feed you before bedtime which is 8 or 8:30.  You go down so easily at night.  After you eat, I lay you in your bed and you fall asleep on your own.

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Hope it's not too difficult of a transition!
