The kids spent the night with the Caddells on Sunday and had a fun day at Belle Isle on Monday.
We headed to Busch Gardens on Tuesday for Dominion Family Fun Days. We were surprised at the small crowd. We were able to ride all the rides we wanted with very little wait, and we had some yummy food!
Wednesday was a typical day of taxiing kids around. Emmy hung out with a friend while I drove Bryce to play golf and then the kids had their regular day of events (piano, gym, wrestling camp). But the big news of the day was that we got a new car!!! It was time!
We bought our pilot used in 2013. It's been a good car for us for the past 10 years and did pretty well for a 16 year old car. We debated between a Kia Telluride and a Hyundai Palisade and in the end went with the Palisade. In this market it's hard to find the car you want, but we were pleased that it only took us about a week to decide what we wanted and find the exact car we wanted!
We spent the day with Nana on Thursday but have no pictures to show for it. We went to her pool, then to lunch and then she took the kids bowling. I went out for girls' night to continue celebrating my friend Angela's 40th.
On Friday the kids helped Nana and Paul mulch and organize garages. Emmy had gym and then we dropped her off at the Caddell's for a fun weekend. Bryce went to the pool with a friend and then spent the night to ride with him to our weekend baseball tournament.
We headed to Lynchburg on Saturday morning for a baseball. The boys went 1-1 on Saturday and then won their game Sunday morning to advance to the championship game at Liberty University. They came up just short, but it was a fun experience getting to play on another college field. It was a fun time for the boys and the parents.
