the state fair

I am not a big fan of the state fair, but I realize it provides much happiness for Jason and I knew Bryce would love it, too. Friday night is not the best time to go to the state fair, but we went right after school today in an attempt to beat the crowd, especially since today was one of the first days with weather nice enough for fair going.
Bryce loves to talk about animals, but he doesn't really care for them close up. We were excited when he finally pet the alpaca.

He was happier with Dada feeding rather than him.

Sitting in the tractor wheel.

Who knew we could actually get him on a horse. He wasn't thrilled at first, but he warmed up to Mike the horse very quickly.

Once he was off he wanted to "ride the horsey again, Mama".

Riding the ferris wheel.

We were way up in the air and it went a little too fast for me!

We literally ate our way through the fair. Jason got a piece of pizza when we got there. We had Virginia Tech BBQ for dinner, and then finished the night off with a funnel cake. There's nothing better than fair food, ha!
