a weekend full of fun

Emmy went to a birthday party for one of her friends on Friday night.  They went shopping, ate dinner at Mellow Mushroom and had a sleepover.  I love that she's found such a sweet group of friends at school.

They met in sixth grade and became fast friends.

Saturday kicked off meet season for Emmy.  She had a rocky routine on beam, but other than that, she did well and placed on 2 events.

She even qualified to represent team Virginia at a meet in Niagara Falls in January.

Bryce didn't have school on Friday so he and Avery and another couple went to the mountains for a sunrise hike.

Friday night's football game was USA/Military Appreciation.  I thought Bryce was wearing his American flag overalls, but they must be covered up.

Bryce had a baseball tournament this weekend.  Emmy and I missed the games on Saturday because of her meet, but we got up early this morning and drove to Hampden Sydney to watch what may have been Bryce's last travel ball game.  He and Chace in the middle (and one teammate that wasn't there today) are still on this team since they started in third grade.  The other two boys played with us for years and came back today to fill in.  It was so fun to have the boys and parents back together for one last hoorah!  We all went out for lunch after the game, and it was just like old times.  So good!
