The last week of school was a busy one. Monday we were all at school for Emmy's 5th grade fun day. I went to school on Tuesday for a school wide perfect attendance ceremony. There were only 16 kids in the whole school who earned perfect attendance this school year and Emmy was one of them! The local Kiwanis Club donated 4 bikes to be raffled off as well as Sweet Frog gift cards for each student. Emmy didn't win a bike, but she does love some Sweet Frog!
Bryce didn't have any classes on Tuesday and Emmy got out early so MeMa took them and Chase and Taylor to the river for the afternoon.
Bryce is ready to go back every day!
Wednesday was 5th grade graduation!
Emmy looked so pretty in her dress and Kendra Scott necklace she got as a graduation gift.
We put together slide shows for each class to play during the ceremonies.
The art teacher helped the students paint this mural to leave behind as their legacy project.
I spent Tuesday afternoon putting up this backdrop for the students to use for pictures after graduation.
Her biggest fans came to support her.
These three have been friends since kindergarten.
She couldn't wait to cash in on that Sweet Frog gift card after school on Wednesday.
Thursday was FINALLY the last day of school.
From the first day of kindergarten to the last day of elementary school!
Out of the whole week, Bryce only had to go to school for the last block on the last day.
From the first day of middle school to the last day of middle school.
I was so excited to be able to get a picture of Emmy and all of her teachers through elementary school. Her kindergarten teacher retired the year she was in kindergarten, so I was so glad I was able to get her to come for the last day for this picture!
ADIOS, elementary school.
I enjoyed spoiling the kiddos with some graduation treats after school.
It's been a great year and it's so hard to believe we're done with elementary school, and we'll have one in high school. Bryce will be an Atlee Raider next year and Emmy will be a Grace Christian King.
We wrapped up the week/end with a baseball tournament in Charlottesville on the UVA baseball field.
We're Hokie fans, but we could appreciate the magnitude of this opportunity!
We're excited for a fun summer!
