Jason and I went away for a long weekend to celebrate our 15th anniversary.
We had an early flight to Boston and were in the city by 10:00. We started at the beginning of the freedom trail because it was close to our hotel. We toured a few of the ships in the harbor and then had lunch at Pier 6.
After lunch we hopped on a trolley and rode around and got off too see the sights. The Boston Tea Party ships were a must.
It was HOT in Boston so we cooled off with ice cream.
Jason arranged for us to stay on a houseboat for the night. It was such a cute little thing.
We enjoyed a yummy anniversary dinner.
We ended the day with drinks on our porch!
The next morning we were up early to drive to Hyannis to catch our ferry to Nantucket!
I have fallen in love with Nantucket after reading Hilderbrand and Thayer books so Jason suggested this as our anniversary destination. He's a keeper!
We dropped our bags at our inn and then rented a moped and scooted around the island.
The next morning we strolled around town until breakfast. We ate at Met on Main and oh my goodness, Jason's cookie dough pancakes may be my best memory from Nantucket!
After breakfast we changed and took the moped out to the beach!
The water was 68 degrees but didn't seem that cold.
We enjoyed some drinks at the beach cafe before heading back to town to return our moped.
The buildings and flower boxes were my favorite.
We ate lots of yummy food (that I didn't document well). Jason made sure to get a lobster roll and we frequented the The Juice Bar a few times for ice cream!
Nantucket was such a quaint little town.
This trip was a perfect way to celebrate 15 years of wedded bliss!
