Baby Showers

Friends don't let friends wear silly hats!!
Beth and Kathryn had a baby shower for me on Saturday. It was a ton of fun and I got to wear this awesome hat, ugh!! It only lasted for about 2 gifts, hehe! We had sliders and crab dip and they had an awesome candy bar set up with every blue candy imaginable. One of the highlights was watching everyone play, "my water broke". They had to suck on an ice cube that had a baby frozen inside. Whoever got to the baby first, WON! We got tons of great gifts and now when people ask, "Are you ready?", I think I can actually answer, YES!! We have much more than a crib and clothes now. Thanks to everyone who came and gave such generous gifts.
I didn't really have many pictures to choose from, but I liked this one because I didn't have food in my mouth (which I always seem to), and I didn't resemble a whale as much as I do in other pictures! Can you believe we only have 7 weeks to go?!?

Kelly and Jamie had a shower for me at church on Sunday. I decided to put this picture up for Jason. Jenee knew just how to include Jason in the baby shower fun, camo wrapping paper. Again, we had great food and we got great gifts! Thanks to everyone for coming.

Whoa, that's a BIG belly!!

8 more weeks!

I went to the doctor today and he didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. I'm gaining weight and my belly is growing, duh! Maybe he will know more when I go back in 2 weeks. I have 2 baby showers next weekend! We're very excited to get some things to make us feel more prepared to bring a baby into the house. The nursery is very cute, but other than a crib, we don't really have anything else to take care of a baby.

Puppy Love

Meet Max the Cockapoo

Kelly, Dave, Jason and I got Charles and Peggy a puppy for Christmas! We dressed him up in Macy's old Santa suit and wrapped him up in a box (don't worry he was only in there for a minute). Charles was a bit worried when we set the box on his lap and it started moving! We were very worried that they would not be as excited about the puppy as we were. I think it was love at first site so we had nothing to worry about!

9 weeks to go

It's hard to believe I only have 9 weeks to go! It is a shame that my face is as round as my belly and they are both growing at the same pace. I'm hoping I lose the baby weight in my face just as fast if not sooner than the belly bump! I go to the doctor January 2, so hopefully I will have more details about my progress. Hope everyone had a nice Christmas!

Christmas Card

Here is the picture from our Christmas card in case we didn't send you one. If we didn't send you one it's just because we don't know your address, so don't take it personal! I was hoping to update the blog with a picture of me every two weeks from here on out, but I'm already behind. I will try to post one soon.

12 weeks to go....

I guess the countdown can begin. Some say I'm not going to make it 12 more weeks, but I disagree. The doctor hasn't said that, so I'm sticking with the original date until I hear otherwise. However, I would agree that I'm officially wider than the Christmas tree! Jason and Macy had a photo session with the new camera tonight. Be on the lookout for the 2008 Whitlock Christmas card in a mailbox near you!

Almost 6 months

I personally like the view from the front the best, but I know you can't see the progress of the belly bump.
So, here I am from the side! I can only imagine how big my belly is going to be at the end of all this.

Nursery (a work in progress)

The nursery is beginning to look more like a baby's room! My parents painted for us on Monday and I love the colors we chose (thanks Beth). If we ever settle on a name, we are going to put his name on the wall behind the crib. I promise to post another picture of me soon. Jason and I just need to be at home at the same time for more than 10 minutes so we can get a picture.

Belated Halloween

As promised, here is a picture of Macy in her lobster Halloween costume. She was only in it long enough for the picture. You can tell by the look on her face that she was not very fond of it! Believe it or not, we actually took this picture on Halloween. We just have too much going on these days to get the posts up on the blog.

Jason's Success

Grace told me that there were requests for more pictures, so what you see is what you get. Grace and I don't see each other enough to take any actual pregnancy pictures, but hopefully soon. This deer was a milestone for me on two fronts. First and most importantly, this is the largest deer I have ever taken. Secondly, this was my first ever muzzleloader kill. Although this is a very nice 8 pointer, I decided not to have it mounted in hopes of something bigger some day. I took the antlers to work and they have become a very popular conversation piece. Grace will return to her blogging duties with pictures of herself shortly.
