We went to a friend's pool on Saturday and Bryce proved his bravery in the water yet again! Emmy has proven her bravery since her first toe touched the water and she still doesn't understand why we won't just let go of her already!
I never thought I would see the day when Bryce would actually smile while in the pool.
He warmed up by jumping into the pool to Jason.
Sometimes he asked him to move just a little closer to him, but by the end of the day, he and Chase were jumping in by themselves and swimming to the steps on their own.
This pool had a diving board. We convinced the boys to jump off the diving board in exchange for the coveted monster truck they've been wanting (this meant making an ebay purchase and paying more for a small little truck than what it sells for in the store). Life jackets weren't exactly in our plan, but there was no convincing them of that (the deal was done).
The boys decided that if they jumped without life jackets, then they should get another monster truck that they want! They sure know how to work us! So next they jumped in and landed on a pool noodle. By the end, they were just jumping in to their dads, who were waiting to scoop them up! Order up another monster truck!
One of the monster trucks has come in and Bryce is thrilled. I can't even imagine the things we might have to buy to bribe this little girl in the future. Luckily, I don't think it will be for pool bravery!

Way to go Bryce!
I can not even believe how much our kids are a like. Poor Gracie, is just now putting her head under water at age 9 (I wish I thought of bribery! Darn! ;), meanwhile wild Thomas is jumping off the side! Now, he does have a life jacket on, but that is becuase I am terrified that he will go running off and it is more for his protection than peace of mind!
