busch gardens

Jason is off every other Friday and today was his last Friday off while the kids are home for summer so we decided to go to Busch Gardens for the day!

They chose this boat for a photo op right away this morning.  Silly kids!

Riding the log flume (Emmy can't get the name right and calls it log sail or log biscuit).

Carousel fun!

The Grover Sesame Street roller coaster is their favorite!  We rode it 3 times today.

These kids can spot a Dippin' Dots from a mile away.

Enjoy this sideways video of them on the Battering Ram!

bryce rides a bike

Bryce learned how to ride his bike without training wheels this past weekend.  He hasn't slowed down since!

yorktown beach

We had our annual beach day with the Shipleys at Yorktown Beach yesterday!  We love this little beach because it's so quaint and quiet.  There were actually a lot more people there this year so I guess people are discovering it.

I should have done a side by side picture of both of these pictures from years past because they always assume the same positions!

My fun new beach tag along!  I enjoyed a lovely day in my chair with a book in my hand!

Boogie boarding boy!

Pretty princess!

All these kids needed were boogie boards to float on!

Boys and their toys.

I've taught her well.

Another year of Yorktown Beach memories with the Shipleys!

I love these two!

Bryce was freezing, but I wanted a picture on the rocks.  Can't you tell he's thrilled?!?

They never forget that one time when we went to Ben and Jerry's!  It's now in the rotation before we head home!

And we have to take the obligatory trolley ride around the historic sites!

bowling

Bowling was another activity on the summer bucket list and we made it happen last Friday!

He had on his competition face most of the time, but he did some celebrating!

This one celebrated after every roll, even if went into the gutter.

She is the happiest girl.

She had plenty of reason to celebrate!

She rolled almost every frame without the helper ramp.

She's so cute!

My big boy!

Another fun day with the Shipleys.

a tribute to macy

We had to say goodbye to our sweet Macy girl yesterday.  We are so heartbroken, but so thankful for the ten wonderful years of joy she brought to our lives.  Here are a few of my favorite pictures of her over the years.  She was the sweetest, most obedient and loving dog there ever was.  We will miss her dearly.
